Finding your people and then curating your network to make meaningful connections has become absolutely essential over the last several years. I was exhausted from all of the toxicity associated with social media channels and found the interactions left me depressed and angry at the state of our world. In 2016, I began to desperately search for meaningful and positive connection and I embarked on quite the journey. I feel like I participated in every type of event imaginable in search of that feeling of connection and I must say the silver lining of the pandemic is that I finally found it.

My name is Dianne and I am a self-described multipotentialite that owns a travel and event company. I also teach executive education at a university in the Washington DC area. I am passionate about creating customized curriculum and itineraries and designing experiences for individuals and groups so that they can learn, collaborate, make authentic connections and have a lot of fun all at the same time! Throughout the pandemic I began hosting co-working sessions for a small group of people in my various circles and I found that I felt happier, hopeful and more engaged in my curated co-working space than I had in years! I had haphazardly created a space where people from all over the world were truly connecting and it was amazing. Then the world began to reopen and many in the group I had formed got busy and started to return to brick and mortar offices so the group became more of a challenge to find meaningful connection.

I really struggled with this because I had found the "magic sauce" to creating community but now I needed to refine and restructure it. I recently had the amazing opportunity to attend an adventure travel summit in Switzerland and I rediscovered the key elements that you need to create true and meaningful connections. Ever since those revitalizing interactions, I have felt compelled to provide opportunities for like-minded changemakers to be able to come together in a non-toxic environment and collaborate to share best practices. Strategizing with this over the last couple of months and drawing on all of my skillsets, the objective has been to cultivate a utopia for multipotentialites similar to myself to pursue their passionate purpose and grow in an environment where each new day of working remotely you too can Create Your Own Adventure with an amazing network of professionals. Whether you are a writer, pastry chef, tour guide, travel advisor, event planner, lawyer, artist, entrepreneur, inventor, coach (or a combination of all of the above) there is some type of connection to be made in the Create Your Own Adventure Community.
